Design, plan, implement and execute approaches to critical feasibility milestones; Coach and complement, when necessary, team members in design and planning; Prepare adequate reports and inform the research project team(s) on a regular basis; Advise scientists, assigned Directors and Core Team Leaders in multiple specific areas of technical expertise; Design and implement methods for use in commercial FDA approved molecular diagnostic kits.

M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or other Life Science equivalents. Engineers (mechanical or electrical) having significant experience in molecular biology applications will also be considered. Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in industrial laboratory environment; Experience developing nucleic acid preparation and detection technologies and preferably expertise in the following: lysis, purification, filtration, microfluidics, automation, lyophilization. Demonstrated record of consistency and accuracy working in a technical environment; Prior experience working in a team environment and ability to adapt to the atmosphere of a dynamic research organization; Creative and flexible thinking; Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills; Proficient Computer skills: MS Office, other scientific programs as needed.
