BS in Optics or related discipline 3 years experience as Optical Engineer 3+ years optical design in an R&D environment designing both illumination and imaging optics; including tolerance analysis 2+ years of experience with sequential Ray Trace program (Zemax, Code V, Oslo, etc.) and non-sequential ray trace program (Trace Pro, ASAP, Zemax, Light Tools, etc.) 2+ years of experience in lens metrology (MTF testing, measuring distortion, etc.), and radiometry; measuring LED luminance, system irradiance, source exitance, etc. Proven ability to develop complete systems from concept and take them through production. Experience with sensor technologies (CCD, CMOS, PMTs, APDs, etc.) Experience with solid state light emitting devices (LEDs, Lasers, etc.) Experience designing and conducting laboratory experiments to quantify the effectiveness of imaging and illumination systems. Ability to use formal DOE methods desired.
